A recent job change has me traveling non-stop (same company different role). Life running through airports and living in hotels has made me realize just how uncomfortable my 5.11 Rush 24 actually is. Don’t get it twisted, I do like that bag……a lot! It’s probably the longest I’ve carried a single bag, and the durability and amount of nooks and crannies to store things is limitless. But 2 things about the bag have me searching for a change. First, the bag just feels heavy. I’ve emptied it out completely multiple times and attempted to purge the best I could, but nothing seems to help. Second, although I love the look, I need something less tactical. In the world we live in today, a tactical look makes you a target. At a quick glance, everyone assumes that you are at minimum carrying a handgun and depending on their imagination, you may have flashbangs or even worse. Trust me on that one! And, in the event that the stuff really does hit the fan and you are caught in the middle, the sight of your bag will again make you a target and this time it may not just be an accusation you have to worry about!
That led me to my friend George from Beau.industries.com. George has a design background and has created bags for some of the biggest brand names you can think of. He set out to make something that was missing in the market. It had to be functional, durable, and sustainable. Some of the big guys couldn’t care less if it were sustainable, and if it fell apart after a year or two, you’d have to buy another one! George checked all those boxes and more with this new bag. But there is also a twist that you won’t see coming…….
